At the request of Visual Connections and the Printing Industry Association of Australia, Inspiring the Future Australia was an exhibitor at the four-day PacPrint 2017 expo at the Melbourne Convention Centre in May.  Connections were made with over 200 industry representatives from every Australian state and territory from SMEs to major corporations. The printing industry is keen to promote apprenticeships and career opportunities to young people and believes that Inspiring the Future is a great way for industry personnel to connect with students as guest speakers in schools. As one Forum Facilitator stated at the expo, “This is what we have been waiting for”.  Ten people signed up as ITF volunteer speakers during the expo and many have done so since then or passed on the information to their colleagues and network contacts. The ITF team appreciates opportunities like this to reach out to all industry sectors to encourage employers and employees to get involved in making a positive difference in the lives of young people.  Please contact the ITF team if you know of other opportunities like this to broaden awareness of ITF and promote engagement.
