Over 3 days in November we hosted 25 Virtual Mock interviews with the assistance of some amazing Amazon Web Services (AWS) staff. Participating in the interviews were Year 10 and 11 Students from Cecil Hills High School, Winmalee High School, as well as students from the support unit at Nepean Creative and Performing Arts High School, along with young people from Youth Employment Services. It was a privilege to be able to facilitate and provide this opportunity to so many young people with varying experience.

The feedback from AWS volunteers was overwhelmingly positive. They all enjoyed having the opportunity to assist young people in this way and expressed a desire to do it again in the future.

Mock interviews are a fantastic way for young people to develop their skills, increase their confidence and increase their understanding of workplace and interview expectations. 

The experience that this activity provided to these young people has been uplifting, impactful and supportive, and we look forward to the next time.
