Mock Interviews

Mock Interviews are a very popular activity in schools and involves volunteers simulating the interview experience for young people and giving helpful feedback for them to improve. This often happens in a large room where volunteers interview a few students throughout the session.

Mock Interviews are a great way to prepare students looking to leave school for employment, Year 9 or 10 students casual job-searching or even to assess students on their skills such as presentation and research.

We encourage teachers running Mock Interviews to set up tables and chairs inside the hall or library, where volunteers, students and supervising teachers are in sight of each other. Not only does this help reduce Child Protection risk, but helps volunteers to feel a part of something bigger and be able to connect with each other.
